01_13 Servant Leadership

These studies aim to define the world’s understanding of leadership and the Bible’s understanding of leadership, and show the differences between these two understandings, giving examples. We will see that a leader is not only someone who affects great crowds of people, but that everyone who has an effect on those around them, takes on a leadership role in life. We should take Jesus as our model of leadership, and lead with the servant heart He has. We will also study the Bible’s point of view on the heart and character a servant leader should have.

01_13_01 Who Is The Leader?

This study compares the world’s definition of leadership with that of the Bible; points out the difference between them, and stresses that everyone who has an impact on those around them takes on a leadership role.

01_13_02 My Model Of Leadership Jesus Christ

This study stresses that anyone who wants to lead must first begin with themselves. Someone who wants to learn to lead themselves must take Jesus as their model.

01_13_03 The Heart Of The Servant Leader

The heart of a servant leader must not be filled only with thinking about and serving their own interests. Their heart must be humble, and free of pride and fear.

01_13_04 Servant Leader Character

Servant leadership is founded on a character that is based on what is good, right, and according to God’s Word – in other words, on the truth. If we do not possess the kind of character God expects of us, in exercising our influence over others, our leadership will be far from displaying the attitude of a servant. For this reason, learning to develop character is very important. The best school to learn to develop our character is the Bible, and Jesus is our wonderful example.
